On the Day of your Session (Family, Lifestyle, etc.)

All you need to do is prepare for a great time! You can expect to relax and enjoy yourself in front of the camera. We believe photography sessions should be playful, relaxed, and natural to capture those perfect moments, genuine personalities, and authentic connections.

For all sessions - Indoor or Outdoor (No phones, hair ties, or keys on packets)

Clothing is the key element for the most beautiful, timeless portraits.  Please search family Family-style inspiration ideas on Pinterest.  Solids and color coordination are the best, avoid busy patterns or stripes. Wear clothing that reflects who you are.  Black, white, creams, and solid tops are desirable and work perfectly for more formal, indoor photography sessions. Keep your clothing choices simple.  Keep this in mind when planning your family’s outfits. Some examples of popular options for color combinations are below:

* Denim and Tan       * Brown and Maroon         * Denim, Yellow, Crimson       * Navy, Tan, Cream

* Glitter and White    * Crimson, Tan, Denim     * Red, Grey, Black                     * Navy, and Crimson

Maternity:  Indoor or Outdoors

While being pregnant can sometimes be an uncomfortable experience, there are moments when it feels so magical and thrilling that we never want it to end. One thing is for certain: there’s no other experience in life like it. I hope you choose me to create some magical, artistic, and style photos.

A good time to start the booking process is around your second trimester. Reach out to me for your maternity session. The best time to capture maternity photos is 26 – 32 weeks into pregnancy. Your belly is beautifully round, but you still feel comfortable in poses.

We recommend professional make-up and hairstyling to ensure a timeless look for your portraits. Natural makeup, fake lashes, and soft curls are generally preferred among our clients. A simple outfit is a winning outfit. You and your splendid shape are the most important thing.  Clothing for your maternity session should be tight-fitting around the belly. I do suggest bringing simple jeans, an elastic tube dress, and a special maternity dress that is comfortable to wear. I advise you to prefer solid colors and textures to patterns. Our signature style of post-processing includes tasteful smoothing of skin and body contours to put the finishing touches on your portraits. I provide maternity dresses and body suits, different fabrics, and textured materials to create timeless artistic images.  I used crowns, flowers, jewelry, etc. elements that will enhance your portraits. You are more than welcome to bring your wardrobe and accessories.

Newborn: Indoor Only, unless other agreements are reflected in the contract.

Newborns are only that tiny for such a short period and it’s important to capture those early moments in the first two weeks of birth while your baby is sleeping soundly and curling up into those adorable womblike poses. On these few days, babies like to cuddle and are sleepy so is an excellent time to get their portraits done. I can't wait to create these memories for you and your family.  We encourage families to book their newborn photography session early to ensure availability. Your due date will be placed on our calendar, and we look forward to hearing from you once your baby is born to schedule your newborn session as soon as possible. If the baby is born early, I will make sure I get you in for your newborn session as soon as possible, I understand and I have to be flexible (do not worry, I got you).  We are going to be very delicate and gentle with your baby. I will also play white noise sounds. The room temperature will be between 80-85 degrees to keep the baby relaxed and cozy.  Remember every newborn is different and settling a baby into a pose on a prop takes time and patience, and it's not something we can rush through.   With newborn sessions, I always say quality over quantity. Some babies like to sleep, some do not, so we go with the flow.  All of the images in your gallery will be fully edited to remove any temporary marks bruises or scratches, flaking, peeling, jaundice, and baby acne.  Usually, I leave little milia (those little white bumps on the nose), moles and natural birthmarks, and the tiny hair on shoulders backs, and forehead, unless you specifically ask me to remove them.  These are the things that make a baby look real.  My goal with editing is to make your baby look naturally flawless.

We ask you to bring a pacifier, bottles of formula, a swaddle, and a few clean diapers and wipes. If you want photos with your baby, set aside a nice simple outfit, with solid colors and no letters. We recommend creams, neutral tones, and soft colors for soft intimate portraits. It’s best to avoid chunky jewelry and watches, which can be distracting elements. Nothing in your packets, hair ties in wrists, etc. My newborn sessions are inclusive, we provide everything we need to do your baby's session.  We have our blankets, wraps, swaddles, dainty headbands, knit hats, and lots of props.  Once we book your newborn session, first I'm going to send you a questionnaire about colors and such so that I can be ready for your baby on the day of the session, and then when we get close to the session I will send you the Newborn Session Guide with all the information about the session.  The full payment of the session fee is required one week before your session day.

If you have any questions or need more information about our sessions, please contact us.
